Special Get Well Cupcakes

I have been very busy lately. Lots of new customers! I am very thankful to keep being sent such wonderful people who want to enjoy my sweets and spread the word. I haven't been able to post too often so here are a few things I have been doing. I received a special order via email, for some cupcakes that were going to be sent to an 8 year old, who is in the hospital, due to cystic fibrosis. She said it didn't have to be anything special, she tasted them and wanted to send some for her to eat. Chocolate was her choice of flavor...and from there it was up to me. So I thought PINK it is! Sweet and girly and fun! When I read the email I knew this is what I was meant to do with my talent of baking! Making people feel good with what I make. Whether it's someone sick, a birthday girl, a bride-to-be, a preggie mom, or a child--my goal is to put a smile on their face. A smile that says This is Good! and if, for just a moment it makes all things better! That is fine with me. I also had a few showers this weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed the sweets. Gourmet Bon Bons!

Today I was very busy making Bon Bons, so I thought I would post some photos my brother, Bryan, took for me a while back. Bon Bons never looked so good!

My mother has always preached to us the power of our thoughts....That what we think of, often comes true. Good or bad! I try to only think of good thoughts, therefore when they happen I am excited and not disappointed. It happens often, I will think of a client that hasn't come in a while, and they will call out of the blue for an appointment, or I think of an old friend and bump into them somewhere.

We came spend a few days with my husband in Natchitoches and last night as I was going to bed, for some reason I was thinking about wine. LOL. I thought how perfect it would be if there was a wine label with a cupcake on it. Then I thought, how silly! I doubt anyone would ever consider a vineyard with a cupcake as their logo. Just I would think of it because I enjoy anything with cupcakes. This morning Audrey and I took our time getting ready and then headed out. As I wrapped up a long day of shopping, I decided to stop at the grocery store to pick up something to cook for supper. I also had some cupcakes to bake, so I planned to grab a bottle of wine to have a glass as we cooked. I picked a bottle that I thought was unique... Bohemian Highway I think it was? Then I remembered I needed cream cheese. So as I was headed back to the front of the store, I turned the corner and saw this giant cupcake display, with you guessed it....CUPCAKE wine! How ironic! So of course I quickly put the other bottle back and scooped up one of the OH so perfect bottles of wine. So my friends all I have to say is, own your thoughts, they are powerful! And as the wine label says...Live Deliciously! There's nothing better than wine and cupcakes!!!

Happy "Fat Tuesday'

Hope your stomach's are filled with lots of good food! I'm sure people today were finding all their favorite things to indulge in before Lent. I sure did! I even ate one of my delicious stuffed Chocolate M&M cupcakes! I rarely eat the extras that I have from orders. But today I had a giant cupcake left from an order and decided to surprise my mom with it. As she went on saying "how good it was and that the icing was so perfect and just right" I just had to join in! It was yummy!!!! Hats off to all of you who will give up sweets for Lent. It will be a true sacrifice! Those who don't, I look forward to making lots of Bon bons and Cupcakes for you! Busy weekend for WHO DAT treats!

I have been very busy with orders for the Superbowl, Parties and now Valentine's Day!!! Haven't been able to post too many pictures, so here are some I delivered. Dream kitchen!!!

Today the Dessert Diva was busy in the kitchen cooking up lots of yummy bon bons for orders this week. From Red velvet to Mocha...they are all so good! I came across this awesome photograph of my dream kitchen. It's so pink and frilly and "diva". I will have one like this ...one day. Til' then I'll just keep rolling bon bons.
