2010 Brunch at Tiffany's

Today was a bittersweet day for me. I was able to donate Bon Bons for the March of Dimes Brunch at Tiffany's. I thought it would be very fitting to make the dainty wedding cake bon bons. They were topped with the classic "Tiffany" blue pearls, so fitting for the occasion. The event is an annual fundraiser they put on, which all proceeds and donations are used to fund research and medical help for premature babies. Many families have been blessed with the help they offer. Our family came to know this when my brother and his wife's first child was delivered at around 28 weeks. Elle Ava's life with us was very short. Bryan & Kristin were able to spend time with their precious baby girl, and for those days they are truly grateful for. At the time they were living in Indiana, therefore not all of us were able to meet Elle. My mother and father flew there & had the experience of seeing their first grandchild. Being Nanny Blair, it still brings tears to my eyes that I was not able to kiss and hold my Godchild. But she knows Nanny loves her and and is always going to be my special angel. Our family has learned through the pain of the situation that there is always hope and God had his own plan for her. In sharing this story, people can get a better understanding of the importance and need for organizations like march of dimes. Their research will continue to bless families like ours and many others right here in our community. It is such a joy that my talent has enabled me to give back to them, what they give to babies like Elle. I want to thank the march of dimes for inviting me to serve my sweets at their event today. It gave me great joy to see so many people being generous and donating money to such a wonderful cause. I hope all of you enjoyed the treats by The Dessert Diva, and a special thank you to all who bid on my bon bons in the auction. I look forward to meeting the person who ended up with my donation. God Bless all of you who attended today. It's always fun to dress up and there's nothing I love more than that. I loved seeing all the fancy hats, amazing shoes and pretty jewelry all the women had on. The mimosas were good too :)
