Congrats to Blanche & Matt

The Dessert Diva has been very busy lately with weddings and showers, and end of school desserts! I plan to post pictures as soon as I get A few extra minutes. On the other hand I would like to share with all of you some images of my sister, Blanche, whose wedding was last night. For those of you who don't know, I come from a large family...2 boys an 6 girls! Blanche and I are very close, we are 15 months apart in age and at times we feel like twins. I had the privilage to do her hair and make up for her bridal portraits. My older brother, Bryan did the photography, which came out amazing (there's plenty of great talent that runs through our family) We can now share the photos with people since the wedding is over and the groom has seen "the dress". The wedding was beautiful and of course, there were lots of bon bons floating around the reception...wedding cake for the bride and red velvet LSU ones for the groom's table. Hope to have pictures of those soon. Thanks for following the Dessert Diva ;)

Break out the Bubbly

The weekend was filled with lots of bon bons & cupcakes!!! Thank you to all who picked up bon bons for Mother's Day. I had a Bridal Luncheon to attend for my sister Saturday and the host wanted to serve something sweet and special to finish off the meal. She sent me the decor and told me to surprise her. I knew the perfect treat for the ladies!!!!! I broke out the bubbly, and baked up a very yummy batch of Pink Champange Cupcakes. These were however coral, but originally are pink. They were very tasty and I think are a new "favorite".....they have champagne in the cake and icing!!! What's better than that my friends! They are definitely not your normal cupcake. One guest requested Pink Champagne BonBons!!!! So ladies, for your next party or gal gathering order these....you will be the "Hostess with the Mostest"

Thank You!

Special thanks to all of you who ordered bon bons for Easter! Your business is greatly appreciated!!! Hope all enjoyed the special goodies I made for Easter. I have a few events I will be doing in the next few weeks. Check in for updates and info! What would Easter at the Boudreaux house be without sweets from the Dessert Diva! I made bon bons and my special "Holiday " Sugar cookies. When we all gather for special times and holidays I always make sugar cookies, and over the years my family has developed a love for them. I have a drawer full of cookie cutters, one (or 5) or every occasion!! This Sunday there were pink bunnies, green frogs, colorful Easter eggs, colored chicks and pretty crosses. I have perfected the icing and can decorate quite well. I prob have been making them for about 8 years now. They some how start vanishing before we eat our meal. (Hey, like I say"Life is too short, eat dessert first")....and if you don't grab the one you wish for...it may not be there long. It's not just the kids grabbing for them, the grown ups like them just as much, maybe even more! Seems that my sugar cookies never make it to the left over containers :) My nanny called these "edible art". Wish I had one right now.
